American Government
So I really need to go to bed so I can get up at 5:30am as usual on a weekday, but I have become really fond of my laptop. Yes I actually call it mine now, it sort of came with the Images 4 Kids responsiblities, the only problem is what happens if Images 4 Kids is sold or whatever, do I have to give it up? I can see the true appeal of the laptop now because I sit in my bed and study for my online American Government course and I don't have to get up and sit in some silly desk chair that I don't like anyway to look up the announcements or notes for class that day. I can just bring the computer to me. I love it. I have started to feel attached to it.
Anyway, this American Government thing is nuts! First of all I had no idea how clueless I was until I started this class. I know virtually nothing about our government. I have never really paid attention and on purpose too. I am finding it rather fascinating (and a little embarassing that I have been voting for 10 years and not really known anything about what I was voting for). The hard thing is that I can't just study it as I would want to and pull the things I find really interesting and focus on those, I have to follow the test material and there are so many terms! So many lon definitions that sound so similar to the one next to it. There are implied powers, expressed powers, reserved powers, inherent powers, prohibited powers and we have to know which applies to the different parts of the government and what types of acts or duties fall under each type of power. Aaaaahhhh!
I am sure I can do it, I just have to establish a routine for really making myself study. When you take a class online there is really no one pushing you to get the work done except you and for some reason people seem to think that just because you are doing the work from home that they don't necessarily have to leave you alone while you try to get it done, especially when you are 3 or 6 years old! I have my first test this week.
So, Love and stuff. last weekend was Cody's birthday, this weekend is Brians and i think Stephanie's was somehwere in between. Lots of birthdays.
Cody and I have been singing jingle bells batman smells robin laid an egg batmobile lost it's wheel joker got away, hey!
Oh yeah and I am washing my first load of dishes in my new automatic dishwasher! How cool is that?!
