Title: Flying Free
Rating: PG for kiss and some language. Very, very AU
Disclaimer: They're not mine. I'm just borrowing them because I like them. The world they're playing in today is mine, though.
Wordcount: 2372
Prompt: tellmeakiss Day 16 - AU, wings. Note the AU, please.
Notes: PoA, as it might have happened in another world, where everyone has wings.

There was no space for wings in Azkaban, and if he ever forgot it he would die, as most of those confined here died, their wings snapped against the hard bricks. )

sirius, au, remus

Oh, this was lovely.

I love the world, how things were changed, and how much was still the same.

*sighs*

And that beginning for them. Well, I can hope, anyway.

I had a lot of fun with this. I've got a bit of a thing for wings, and putting these characters into an aerial world was much easier than I was expecting.

Maybe in this world it will all be different :) That's the joy of AUs.

Thanks for the comment :)

Wow, that was beautiful. The start really set the mood well and I liked how the wings could show physically what Sirius felt. And the different names for things, as well as being very inventive, created a nice sense of other-worldiness for me. Thanks!

If you're going to write an AU, you might as well go really AU.

I write winged characters a lot, so this was an easy shift. I was amused to see how many of the names did fit into this world with relatively minor chances (I shied away from trying to work out the equivalent name for Hogwarts, though).

I'm glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for the comment :)

This is amazing. I love the familiar and the new, and how you managed to keep them all - and the fundamentals of the story - recognizable in the fantastic setting. Wow! I'm seriously in awe of how difficult it is to make an AU like this work, and you managed to do it wonderfully! Thanks so much for writing this! It makes the fantasy buff in me very happy. :)

I really enjoyed this. The characters and the situation are the same - I just changed the setting. I really couldn't resist the image of Sirius with wings.

I'm really a fantasy buff myself. Fanfic's just for relaxation - I usually work in worlds like this.

Thanks for the comment :) I'm glad you enjoyed it.

Ooh...I love the setting you've created. I got the most beautiful image in my mind...and the wings! And the names! Lovely.

I really enjoyed imagining the colours in this. I admit I'm guilty of creating entire worlds on the basis of oooh! Pretty!. Why not?

I'm glad you enjoyed it :)

Does guh count as a comment? 'Cause if it doesn't, I'll have to think hard and come back later.

It's all just so pretty, and the wings! *melts*

I love writing winged characters. I've been writing them for just over a year now, and they've stolen almost every story I've put them in. Now they've even invaded my fanfic. :)

I'm glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for the comment :)
