Today was the Georgia Scholastic Press Association conference at the University of Georgia. The workshops themselves were overly pretty lame. Things got especially heated at the short story session where I started arguing with the teacher about film and Shakespeare [two things that I'm pretty well versed over, I feel]. But getting to hang out with Sophie and the newspaper boys was fun. I've felt in class that they [the boys] haven't exactly warmed to me, so it was fun to be with them all in a setting where I wasn't editing their articles. After the field trip, we went to Alfago's Deli by the Mall of Georgia. Pretty fabulous, if I do say so myself. I'd never had a cannoli before and they're MAGICAL. Not as good as a deep fried candy bar, but pretty tasty.
I seriously need to get on college applications. Berry's my top choice this week. Will this still be the case come Monday? We'll see, I s'pose... I'm so fickle about colleges. I guess I should actually go and see some for myself so I can make a better decision.
Sho, my latest plan is to wait for "Snakes on a Plane" to come to the dollar theatre and then see every single showing that day. And count down the arrival of the snakes and toss plastic ones into the air. Can you imagine? "Three... two... one... SNAAAAAAKES!" *snakes fly everywhere*
