haha. I need to get a car (and a license) I came to the con via public transport and walking, carried all my stuff in a little book trolley....never again, so heavy TT^TT I know its good exersize but with lack of sleep its hell haha. I think next convention I'll make some chibis or something....everyone seems to go for mainstream fandom chibis at conventions :/

Gawd I think I'd rather die then make fanart chibis, I tell you. I get so mad at people's shitty taste in shit. Luckily me and my friends who sell together all do original shit, so we all sell really well because there's so much of it at our table, but yeah, I hear you and the call of sweet money by making popular chibi shit. It destroys my soul =3=!! Yes and worst thing about cons is carrying all your shit!!

Well Australians are hard to cater for :/ Chibi seems to sell. While it may not be the bestest thing ever, it can bring up your income. Here at SupaNova artist tables are a ridiculous $220 early bird price.($330 after). . . so artists might get desperate to make enough sales :/

Wooah that's crazy expensive! Is that an anime con specifically, or a general comics/cartoon/pop culture sort of con? All the con's here that are like, more US comic-y, are crazy expensive like that too. That blows =3=!! I'd be desperate there too.

Its more sci-fi. Tho its classed as pop culture there is more american comic books there and sci fi nerds...but anime cosplay towers over sci fi cosplay.
The amusing thing was the row i was in, i was stuck between a star wars fan club and a star trek fan club haha. Unfortunately there was no fighting. awww lazy aussies DX
The conventions in NSW state are cheaper where you can grab a table anywhere from $5 to $25...but calculating the cost of plane travel/accommodation I assume it will end up the same as if i paid $220 here in Brisbane :/
On the bright side, i managed to sell around 40 Bajka books so I'm content :D
