Your Name: Jeff
Character Name: Rose Lalonde

roseintheshadeReference Point of the Canon Update: The end of Act 6 Intermission 1.
How Will This Change the Character?:
Timeline:
• She finishes her fight with Jack Noir, dying at his hands. When John is revived due to his ability as a God Tier, he kisses her, reviving her through her dreamself on Derse.
• The Tumor, a giant bomb in the center of Skaia, was delivered to Rose on Derse. While there, Dave (who was also killed and revived through his dreamself, natch) creates a program that will direct Derse's moon to the Green Sun, where the Tumor can be used to destroy it.
• Dave uses his legendary weapon, the Royal Deringer, to cut Derse's moon from the rest of the planet, sending it drifting towards the Furthest Ring. Just as he's about to go to the moon and ride it towards the Furthest Ring (a suicide mission for certain), Rose beans him with a magic ball of yarn that knocks him out and goes to the moon herself.
• Rose pilots Derse's moon through the Furthest Ring, eventually passing through a dream bubble with Dave in it. She speaks with him for a while before the Draconian Dignitary shows up and "kills" Dave, forcefully awakening him. Dave immediately chases after Derse's moon, sword in hand.
• Dave arrives at Derse's moon, kills the Draconian Dignitary. The moon drifts through the Furthest Ring, eventually finding its destination, but there's no Green Sun there. Eventually, the two of them venture deep into the moon, finding two Quest Beds, one of Time, one of Light. They stand on the Beds, and Rose releases the Tumor, upon which it's revealed to be a time bomb connected to two universes; that of humanity, and that of the trolls.
• The Tumor detonates in concert with Jack Noir and Spades Slick respectively destroying the human and troll universes. The two destroyed universes together create the Green Sun, and Rose and Dave are at the center of the explosion and the Green Sun's creation.
• An unspecified amount of time later, Rose and Dave emerge from the Green Sun as the God Tier Seer of Light and Knight of Time, meeting with Aradia Megido and Sollux Captor. After an unspecified amount of time, Karkat Vantas, Terezi Pryope, Gamzee Makara and Kanaya Maryam also arrive by way of psionically carried meteor.
• The group briefly discusses their plans to travel to a new Incipisphere and a new session of Sburb. Karkat gets hit in the face with a bucket and has a panic attack.
• The Wayward Vagabond arrives at the Green Sun via the Peregrine Mendicant's power as a gateway to the sun. This signals a need for the group to depart the sun as Jack Noir is hot on their tails. Aradia Megido and Sollux Captor send the meteor on its way with a psionic push, as Jack Noir makes his way to the Green Sun after them and the Peregrine Mendicant chases after him.
Personality: Seeing her mother and John's dead at Jack Noir's hand, then seeing John die right in front of her significantly affected Rose coming into Sacrosanct. Most importantly, it gave her a huge mass of anger that she couldn't do anything with. Being killed by Jack herself did little to help that, but dying and reviving as a Goddess did a lot. More importantly, reviving as a fully realized Seer of Light, she gained the ability to see the path that would lead to her victory and for once knew that such a thing was even possible.
Most obviously, she won't be "grimdark" anymore. She won't be blacked out on video feeds, she'll be able to speak in perfectly legible tongues, etc. Secondly, a lot of her anger, especially at Jack Noir, will have subsided. She'll be much more similar to right after she entered the Medium, before she become obsessed with breaking the game and became closed off from her friends. Basically, she'll be a lot easier to talk to, but she won't necessarily be any easier to hold a conversation with, as becoming a fully realized Seer just makes it that much easier for her to speak in vague, infuriating half-statements.
Abilities: In death and rebirth, Rose has reached the God Tier ARIADNE'S THREADSPINNER and as such, has gained several new abilities.
Achievement Badge: GIFT OF GAB: This ACHIEVEMENT BADGE allows Rose to engage in simple, direct dialogue with the people around her, without requiring her to use a chat client, talk to a sprite, or any other potential gimmick. This of course means fuck-all in Sacrosanct, but
it looks neat, doesn't it? All embroidered and shit. You can't buy that at K-Mart, that's homemade.
Immortality: Rose is, under certain conditions, immortal, thanks to her ascension to Godhood. If she dies, she will revive in all conditions except two: if the death is deemed by the universe around her to be a Heroic death, that would seal her as a martyr, or a Just death that would put an end to a path of corruption. The exact circumstances surrounding these two conditions are every bit as vague and personal as they sound.
Light's Eye: As a fully ascended Seer, Rose is able to understand her aspect comprehensively, in this case, Light. Or, as it is, Fortune. She is able to carve out and illuminate the path she and the others around her must take that will lead to victory. As it stands, on Sacrosanct, this will be heavily reduced to be more of a strong sense of intuition and an ability to see an advantageous path for herself in the immediate short-term (for example, if she's at a fork in the road, she may see one fork leading her to find 20 bucks on the ground in 5 minutes, but not falling down a well in an hour). I'm aware of the inherent risk of godmoding involved in this ability, so I intend to set up a permissions post and be proactive in communicating with people who would be affected by this.
Her ability to see through solid objects will also be increased to the point where she'll be able to see clearly through any weather conditions, including darkness, and most kinds of magic and illusion. It's worth noting that this ability hasn't been actually demonstrated in canon yet, but given how high she skyrocketed up her echeladder and the emphasis being put on her becoming a fully realized Seer of Light, it's a natural extrapolation.
Any Large Items?: N/A
Character Journal:
roseintheshadeNature of Item:
1)
Vodka Mutini, a mutant kitten.
2) Rose's dead body, along with its
inventory (sans her Needlekind abstratus, which will still be in John's possession).
How Your Character is Obtaining It: While searching in the junkyard (advised to do so by her own ability, natch), Rose will find Vodka Mutini, who will then lead her to her body, which was killed by Jack Noir.
Briefly Explain the Intended Purpose of the Item: Mostly to recover Rose's inventory, which she lost when Jack Noir killed her and as of the end of Act 6 Intermission 1, has not gained any opportunity to replace (and likely won't for at least 3 years).
