Just a quick something I came across on
recipezaar.com that I noted the basic elements of and proceeded to make my own later.
Pasta with Garlic and Oil
I'm not going to be exact in these measurements because I wasn't exact when I made it, so basically eyeball everything. I'm going to try and be as exact as I can in the description of the procedure so you can get an idea as to what I was doing.
Ingredients:
Olive Oil
Pasta (I used penne)
Minced Garlic
Butter
Bread Crumbs
Salt
Black Pepper
Basil
Shredded Parmesan Cheese
Procedure:
1) Cook pasta as usual in salted water. While pasta is cooking add a pad of butter to a small skillet or sauce pan. When the butter is melted, add two heaping spoonfuls (or however much you like -- I like a TON of garlic) to the pan and sautee until nice and aromatic and brown.
2) Once pasta has finished cooking, drain, and put into a large mixing bowl. Add sauteed garlic, and enough olive oil to coat evenly. Toss the pasta. Then, add cheese, pepper, salt and basil to taste and enough bread crumbs to soak up the oil and lightly coat the pasta. Toss again.
Enjoy!
I imagine this would taste fabulous with a breaded chicken cutlet or some vegetables, but for a quick and easy lunch (or dinner) it makes a fabulous meal.
On another note, I know I post a lot of recipes here, and I was thinking maybe moving them to another journal or community or something if people wanted to read those, but not my actual LJ or if people just simply didn't want to read them and the recipes are cluttering up your friend's page.
Thoughts?
