He never slept; he could always hear them talking. Why didn't they realize that? And Joey was laughing.
"I saw Knives reading the engineering books today. I guess we know who got the brains and who got the good looks!"
Rem should have punished Joey for that, but she was laughing too.
"Now, don't tease like that. Knives and Vash look almost alike anyway. Though I suppose it's Vash who really reminds me of Alex."
Knives barely knew who Alex was and had never cared, but at that moment he decided he hated Rem worse than the rest of them.
