My engagement ring

Steve emailed me about 2 hours ago and said that my ring should be ready soon! He's bringing it down for me tonight and he can't wait to put it on my finger! I am so excited, now I'll be able to take a picture of it to post (I've had a lot of requests for pictures of it). I also should be able to post some pictures of me in wedding dresses. My mom, sister, sister-in-law and best friend went with me to David's Bridal to try on dresses. We were there for a little over an hour and it was exhausting! I was so tired because the dresses were heavy and a little hard to put on (without help). The dresses were beautiful but they all would have to be altered. For those on my friend's list who are not LDS let me explain about Temple weddings and your dress.
If you wear your dress in the temple it needs to be pure white with no other colors, cannot be too ornate (beading is fine but if the entire dress is covered in beads, sequins, etc. it's not okay), and it has to cover the parts of your body that garment do. Garments basically have short sleeves, higher cut neckline (no cleavage) and high backs. All the dresses, except one, that I tried on were strapless. The one that had sleeves had lace sleeves so it would have to be lined. The dresses were between $350 and $699 and all of them would require between $50 and $500 worth of alterations (adding sleeves was the most expensive alteration I would need and it could be $250 per sleeve). That would make my dress cost between $850 and $1,199 (worst case scenario).
Then we went to Latter-Day Bride and found a lot of dresses (couldn't try any on since each dress came in one size and the sizes ranged between 0-24). The cool thing about Latter-Day Bride is that the dresses are made for Temple weddings so I can get a dress from there between $450 - $650 and the only alterations I will need will be to fit my body better.
