Friday and weekend stuff
So my car died on Friday and I got a call from the mechanic today. So far it looks like my fuel pump and it's going to cost $600 to fix it, hopefully that's all.
Steve came down on Friday night and Saturday since I'm carless. We went to see "Nanny McPhee" on Friday, and I LOVED IT!!!! Of course I am a huge fan of Emma Thompson and Colin Firth! It was really cute and funny. Then on Saturyda we went to lunch at IHop and then went to Target where I bought "In Her Shoes" on DVD. We took it home and I kind of forced my mom and sister to watch it with us. My sister hates Cameron Diaz and thought the previews for the movie were stupid. Well about 2/3 of the way through the movie the DVD player kept saying that the disc was dirty. Now this was a brand new disc so I knew it was the DVD player. We got the DVD player for my dad for Christmas in 1998, it was a SOny and cost $300 which was a sale price since it was a floor model. The DVD player wont play many dvds anymore so I asked my dad if he would let me pick one up for him.
Steve and I (with my sister Missee tagging along) went to Best Buy and I bought a Toshiba DVD player for $59.99 and brought it home for my dad. Then we resumed the movie and actually finished with no problems.
Then Steve and I (mostly Steve) made dinner for my family (Norweigan pancakes which are basically crepes with sugar) and then he went home after we watched a little tv together.
Overall it was a good weekend, except for me being carless. I am supposed to be getting my tax refund this friday (yay direct deposit) and then I can pay for my car repairs.After I pay for that I will have about $900 left from my federal refund, and I should be getting my state refund any day now. I love e-filing.
