Hair and other stuff
Was just putting away the laundry and was struck by the amount of hair still clinging to my supposedly clean clothes. And my mind wandered on to how much hair is in the room where I sit... I see my own hair, cat hair dog hair and hair of unknown origin. And, I have absolutely no valid idea of how to get rid of this hair so as with most things the next step is acceptance.
After a long drought we had a lovely rain in the night and everything outside is smiling. I don't mind a really dry year, it does knock back weeds and crowded plants, but I don't like to go outside when it's dry. And the chiggers have been relentless this year. If you live in a place where there are also chiggers you understand how loathsome they are. If not, it's a good experience to miss.
I read a book on quantam physics in relation to Buddhism. I'm back to cheap detective novels.
And omg the Queen died. I sort she'd sort of go on forever. I thought possibly she was an android. Honestly I didn't think too much about her, but did watch some documentaries and had already viewed "The Crown" up to Diana's appearance on the scene. I must say I would never want to be Queen of anything and Elizabeth must have been extremely strong willed or incredibly well programmed to pull off being Queen Mum for all those years. Last I checked on her they were leaving Balmoral and going further South in Scotland.
Read a good article titled "I Cannot Mourn the Queen" about the effects of colonization. Colonization really screwed up the places they squatted. Good thing we are land of rebels or they'd have us in their clutches.
Youngest daughter getting married September 24 so we are all very focused on making it a great celebration. More on that later perhaps.
Anah is back in school. She has certainly changed. Amazingly beautiful and so very bright. I do hope she has a world to raise children in.
So before I go all apocolyptic, I'll stop writing.
Good to be here, don't expect much out of me. I don't have a lot of energy to spare, but I do come here to read and see who is left.
