"Kate! What's going on?"
"I lifted!"
"You lifted?" He picked her up and spun her around. "Congratulations!" He put her down and kissed her, then grinned. "No wonder you're so excited. You don't usually do excited."
She poked him in the shoulder. "Oh shut up, you."
"Now there's the Kate I know and love. So did you lift today?"
"Yeah, a few hours ago. You hadn't heard?"
Graham shrugged. "I had class all afternoon, then came straight here, so no."
"I'd have thought you'd have heard about the resurrections at least."
"What resurrections?"
"They're bringing everyone back. Rose was by earlier today - she helped Mom and Aunt Tara get started on resurrecting everyone and making them adults again."
"Huh."
"You really hadn't heard?"
Graham shook his head. "Nope. Oh."
"Oh what?"
He took out his cell phone and frowned at it. "I turned it off for class."
"And you forgot to turn it back on, didn't you?" Kate shook her head. "I don't understand how you can forget to turn your cell phone on."
Graham shrugged. "It never seems important?"
"But it's useful to know things! I mean, our grandparents are all back. You actually got to know yours - I just met mine for the first time today."
"Was it good?"
"Yeah, it was." Kate smiled. "But I lifted. So now we can plan stuff together."
"I've still got two more years of college, Kate. I could drop out, I guess and move back home..."
"Absolutely not."
"What?"
"No way in hell. You are going to finish college, and you are going to get your degree. Education is important, and I will not marry an idiot. Which you would be if you dropped out of school."
Graham shook his head, a fond smile on his face. "Alright. I won't drop out. But that means we have two rotations apart."
Kate shrugged. "So we'll visit each other a lot. Or I could get pregnant now - I'm old enough to have a kid, and you're old enough to father one, even if you can't get pregnant yourself."
Graham shuddered. "Do not mention me getting pregnant."
"Why not? My brother did."
"And Richard is married to a man."
"But it would be interesting to see the difference between children you carried and children I carried!"
Graham put his face in his hands. "You are going to mock me with this forever."
"Yup," Kate said cheerfully. "So...pregnancy?"
"No," Graham said thoughtfully. "I think I'd rather be married first. And, well, I'd like to be there. If I'm at college and you're pregnant, I'm going to miss everything - the pregnancy itself, the birth, our child's first days. I don't want to miss that."
She nodded. "That makes sense. I'd like you to be there too. And besides, I still want to be a Criminal Mastermind. It may be best to be done with that before we have a kid."
"Probably a good idea." Graham frowned. "Where are we going to live, anyway?"
"What do you mean?"
"With your mother and aunt, my parents, on our own?"
"...Good question."
"Does your mother want us to live with her?"
Kate frowned. "I think Mom kind of views Richard as her heir. He's the only one of us who got her blond recessive, and he's a twin, too. There's that whole history of twins being heirs. And if Richard moves back in, Robin will too. They'll mirror Mom and Aunt Tara, I guess."
Graham stroked her cheek. "Does that bother you?"
"A little, but not really? As long as we don't have to live with any of my brothers, I'll be fine. You know how overprotective they get even when I absolutely do not need it."
"Yes. Yes I do. I definitely agree on not living with your brothers." Graham tilted his head. "What about my parents?"
Kate shrugged. "I've never had a problem with them, and they like me, right?" Graham nodded. "Then why don't you check with Jenny? She may want to live with them after she graduates. We could always make our own home."
"I'd like to live with them, I think. But sure, I'll check with Jenny."
"Okay, so you talk to Jenny, then we'll figure it out." As Graham pulled out his cell phone again, Kate grabbed his hand. "What are you doing?"
"Calling Jenny?"
"Nope. Today is for me. You can call her in the morning."
Graham smiled slowly. "Your wish is my command, my lady."
Kate shook her head, but chuckled. "And that's the way it should be!"
