They mean to make an example of her, to prove that they are more than a mere child playing at being Queen.
…and as she is lead to the pyre she looks to the stake, and as she is bound to the stake she looks to the sky…
They watch, greedy and eager, as the starving flames begin to curl and lick at her ankles and crawl along her thighs.
…and as the flames engulf her --her vision turning a bright auburn-gold--, there are screams...
But they are not her own…
…she is more than a mere Inferno…
