Wings
a short story about making wings
ok as many of you know i was assigned with the great and wonderful taks of making wings for my friend Joshwaa's super hero costume. anyway they are now done and i felt the need to post about the process.
ok first off i made a set of small wings, to see if my idea would work the way i wanted it to
6 hours later ( not including shopping time) i had completed these:
not very big but about the size of my face and i thought the looked super cool
so i went ahead and made bigger ones about a week later they again took about 7 hours ( tis time i had Katie helping me cut the feathers so that reduced the time it took by a lot because i could start and she would still be cutting ect.) and i ended up with these while watching ( amung other things) batman begins and The Fantastic Four
very nice (small crying fit when my dad informed me the looked gay but i would dwell) and Futrerama is cool too
add a back harnis (lovingly denoted by Katie's mum who said we could use it - the same sort of harnis runs about 30 bucks at Walgreens)
4 heavy deauty bolts and a lot of very big washers
and spend about an hour putting all the pieces together ( putting them toget her right and then thinking i was putting them together wrong and undoing it putting them together fully and realizing i was right the first time and then taking them apart again and then re-putting them back together) we end up with what i think are some pretty fucking amazing wings
note: there are supposed to be 3 sets the 3rd set is a little low and hiding behind my legs, you can see it if you looks
anyway i haven't put them on Joshwaa yet but i think they'll look just as good on him anyway yeah! felt the need to share. ^^ hope you enjoyed
