I GOT THE NEW GET UP KIDS. It's really good - unexpectedly so. They really went back to their older sound but kept some of the more mature and experimental elements that were heard in On A Wire. The main problem with On a Wire was that it was really a New Amsterdams cd released under the wrong band name. Don't get me wrong, I love the New Amsterdams but it was a side project so that New Amsterdams and The Get Up Kids could co-exist...NEVER TO MEET. Different sounds, supposedly. Anyway, the new cd is upbeat and very poppy, but it was let down that there really weren't any slow song, like those in the vein of "Better Half", "New Found Mass", "Valentine", "long Goodnight" ,etc. Nonetheless, well done Matt and other friends at The Get Up Kids. I suggest you all pick up a copy. It's called Guilt Show. Of course, Kotu, you can expect a copy tomorrow. I'm happy to oblige anyone else who asks as well.
