More poetry from me lol
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Before he comes to me at night
While I'm snugly tucked in bed
The steady sound of drip-drip-drip
Grows ever closer to my head
It's the one warning he gives
That never fails,
Though sometimes I'll hear
The screeching of his nails
I don't know what's worse;
His heavy drool or sharp claws,
But I am sure of one thing:
I'd hate to be caught in his jaws
He's tall, green and slimy
With reptilian skin,
Some seriously bad breath
And a huge dorsal fin
I have no clue what he wants,
But night after night,
He seemingly appears out of nowhere
And gives me an awful fright
He never speaks a word,
Only breathes in and out;
Loudly and labored
Through his big, monstrous snout
Sooner or later
I'll work up the nerve
To ask what his deal is
Or what purpose he serves
But for now I must be content
With hiding under my covers
While he growls by my pillow
And menacingly hovers
