My vacation thus far

... Has royally sucked ass! xD Ok, I'll try to make this quick. I haven't posted in a long time.

So... My flight was for Tuesday, July 1st at 12:30 in the morning. I thought I would be here all Tuesday day and leave late Tuesday night, which would be technically Wednesday, but I checked my airlines website and it said that I had to leave late Monday night / early Tuesday morning. So me, in a panic, had to email my boss and group leader to tell them that I wouldn't be in attendance since I would be in New York lol. Yeah, I'm kind of thick like that. But it turned out alright. I was already packed when I found out, so I just got ready and hopped the train to the airport.

I got there, checked in, went through security, then wandered off in search of a book and some food. Because I was hungry, and I hadn't had time to go to the book store beforehand since my flight was a day earlier than expected. But I went to the airport bookstore in search of a particular book, and whaddya know! They had it. xD I was so fricking excited. It was Heather Brewer's Eighth Grade Bites, about a teenage vampire. Sad book, but a good one. So I waited an hour for my flight, boarded it, didn't sleep all the way to Minneapolis, then switched planes there for Detroit. An hour later we landed again, and I had to hop a tram in Detroit's actual airport to get to my plane. I actually slept on that flight, but it was only an hour so I woke up as we were landing. My Grandpa picked me up at Syracuse's airport, and I just hung around at his house after that until my aunt and step-grandmother got home.

Once they did, we went to the store I think... (Lol it's only been a week and my mind is gone). Anyways, the next day, Wednesday, everyone had to work so I spent the day at home alone, just chilling out and dealing with my jet lag.

On Thursday we had to go to this stupid concert thing in the park w/ this guy who sang really bad cover songs, and sell Duck Race tickets. The Duck Race is this thing my family does that raises money for The American Heart Association, and basically rubber ducks are raced down this creek w/ numbers on the bottom, and whoever comes through the finish line first wins. My family does a lot of volunteer / fundraising stuff, b/c they're old and have nothing better to do with their time. It's annoying.

And so is this post, so I'ma continue this sometime later, because my New York exploits are too big to write in just one journal post.
