Wow is has been forever since I updated and now I have lots to update! Where to start...
Rose has changed so much over the past month. She has started playing more with the toys that we have got her. She is taking the ring off the stack and re-stacking them. Some times it is in the right order. It is so funny to watch. When she first started trying she was get frustrated when it did not happen. Now she is very good at it. She has also got really good with the blocks that come in the container. I have found once the blocks are sorted by shape. I kinda laughed at that. She is a cute at times.
It has been interesting with the fuzzies. Rose does call them kitties lots and like to look and pet them. Setesh is the only one that will let her pet him. Setesh is really good about it. She has hugged and kissed Setesh. He just sits there as long as we are near by. Most of that might be from the fact that we clipped his claws one time when he scratched her.
Rose certainly does love her Taz that she got for her birthday. In fact her saying Taz came before something that resembled mom. She will sit on my bottom and spin around with taz. She also gives Taz hugs and kisses. She will even wave to taz. It is very to watch. I just hope that we don't have to buy a new taz. Just of recent she started to like a dragon that was given to her. She will put taz and the dragon together and talk random things to them.
On the subject of talking she just love to jabber at everything: the tv, books, other people. Or me. I love it when she talks to books. She will turn the pages and point and talk to something on the page. It is kinda fun to watch. She loves books. She will turn the pages on the books for hours and just enjoy them. I read to her still, but most time she just wants to turn the pages. So some books have got shorten some. She does use the learning leap pad that someone gave to her, I hope to get her to use this more soon.
Rose is not really walking, but she is still crusing around the furniture. She does have a wonderful time doing that. She is getting better at her balance and does not always have to have both hands on the furniture to walk. I'm sure that she is going to just stand up and walk off one of these days. Rose is standing on her one some. She does stand for a few seconds by herself and then realizes that she is not holding anything and then grabs something as fast as she can. This is all leading up to her walking. I'm sure that will come sooner than I want. She does not want us to hold her hands and help her walk around the room. If she grabs our hands then that is okay.
Rose has finally got the art of waving at people down. She will way to dad when she sees him. It is kinda funny to watch. I'm so glad that she is growing up so much. She will wave bye and hi. She will also wave to the fuzzies when she sees them. I love to watch her do this. It is very entertaining. She will also say hi with the waves, hi kitty, or hi daddy. She will do it most times just after we leave, which I get a small laugh out of. She also does wave to where Paul might be. If the door is shut to the bedroom she waves to the door and say hi dada. If the door is open she waves and says hi dad to the stairs. She is certainly learning.
Rose has learned to love bath time. She splashes tons. She can make little puddles in the room if I'm not careful about it. Rose has also started to get really excited when you change her diaper. She has a nice habit of when the diaper is full or wet at all, to come let us know. She gets all cuddly and rubs her face on me. I saw her do this to daddy last night. I almost laughed when he did nothing and she came to me to let me know about the problem.
Rose certainly does like attention. When she does something she wants people watching her do it. She will wait to get attention and THEN do what she was going to do. I can see this clearly when she gets into the DVDs. She loves those dvd cases to just jabber at them and flip them around because they are all different.
Since we have the Christmas tree up Rose just loves to touch it. The tree has the lower half empty of ornaments. She loves to grab at them, so they slowly got moved up or removed. Christmas is tomorrow and I've been wrapping presents and Rose has been opening them for me. She only wants the wrapping paper nothing more. I think this is funny. Re-wrapping stuff was not, but she loved to play with the paper.
Rose got some presents from Grandpa and Grandma Osborne already. She just loves to get books. She did not want anything else but the books. So we let her play with her books. I'm looking forward to seeing how she does with Christmas.
We finally changed the car seat so that it was facing forwards. She loves it. She like to look out at things, but at times she has been cranky about the car seat. I think she likes it. I have driven her slowly by Christmas lights and she just loves it. She talks and gets all excited.
Night time has been interesting. Since Rose has learn that she can stand in her crib and crawl in her crib she stand and cries until someone comes and gets her. She is certainly funny about it. She now crawls around until she falls asleep. She will bunch up a blanket so that she can lay on top of it. I find her that way most times in the morning. She does move around in her crib a bit more than she used to. I now can get her up from a nice standing position. At that standing position she can also reach the light switch, at which she has learn really well have to turn that light on. At times she will wake up and play in her crib rather than to cry.
This past week has been interesting. She has hit her head more than before and also thrown little temper tantrums. I think part of this comes from finding out yesterday that she has 4 molars coming in. UGH. It looks like three of them have a small part (itty bitty corner type parts) through. It should be an interesting few weeks. I hope that this goes okay. Soon more teeth, what more can you ask for. :)
We started Rose on third foods and she has been so-so with them. I now have to wonder if her teeth are bothering her to much to really enjoy them. I hope that is so and she does better with them. When we started them she would drain out all the liquid type foods and
keep the more solid in her mouth to chew. It was funny but she did not want the two types of food mixed. She does not do that now. When she still thinks she is hungry she will take the food and then spit it out of her mouth. We have given her eggs, pancakes and really well cooked bacon and she loves that. She will just gobble it all up. I'm really happy when she does that. She also has some freeze dried apples that she likes. I'm really happy when she eats well. She does every now and then get upset that she is in the high chair still and starts to throw food on the floor while she is getting upset.
Yesterday was Christmas eve and Rose got to open some presents. She did okay with that. She was more interested in the paper than anything else. I think she will get the idea better today. She got some clothes from Joey's mom and books, videos and a patriots sippy cup from Jon . She got her Christmas pjs from grandma Harding.
Rose was very tired yesterday in the evening. Hoping that when she is more awake she will do better with unwrapping things. She wanted to play with each toy before we could open or think about anything else. She is getting to have such a certain attitude about things.
I hope to update this more often than I have...
