(no subject)
Recital today....
Went very well! I'm extremely happy for myself, and i feel my prayers were anwered. I got up really early this morning, i had on my alarm clock the first song on the Chants of India by Shankar...I cannot for the life of me remember it's name, and i'm too lazy to check. But i was like, praying, trying to calm down, i had my beads with me to remind me i'm not alone, etc. And when i left that stage, I was like "THANK YOU GOD! YOU ALLOWED ME TO LIVE!!!" XD but for real! It's a blessing....

But yeah, most of you already knew i was singing "Violets and Silverbells", it's an unheard of song, but really cute, like a music box tune. I took some peektures! I'll show ya'll in a minute... But yeah, in the actual singing part, i did suprisingly well, however...During the second verse my voice croaked really bad, but however to this, Kim and Meredith who have voices of angels did the same! So i don't feel entirely bad...But that was literally the only "mess up" i did. I think i sounded ok, i was just shaking, and sometimes that cuts off your breath and i didn't get to hold two notes out long enough. But yay. NO TEARS! that's the best part.

Like i said last year....I would SHOOT ANYONE who would DARE criticize one of those girl's voices...Since i've been there done that. I think everyone did ok...One girl...Bless her heart...I would've hugged her if i had sat next to her...Noticeably nervous, but she did good! I've totally been there.
There was this one girl though...She was last, and probably the best, sounds like she's been at it for yeaaaars...I told her before hand when she practiced "Hey, you sounded great!".....She just nodded her head and looked away. I thought to myself "I take that back..." -_- snob.
OH! one last thing...this would have gotten to me if i wasn't oh so confident.
When all the girls sat down, chit chatted, etc. This one girl, i think her name was Sarah? I dunno. She was talking to her mom behind me and her......Her mom was like "Oh good! no one's singing Johnny One Note this year." i was cracking my knuckles (that's the song i sang last year and then cried for the entire recital afterwards cause i was so nervous *for various reasons* and i thought i butchered but looking back it wasn't as bad. I was just nervous beyond anything you can imagine.
I turned around and was like "Oh...do you not like that song?" tried to fake a smile.
"Yeah, someone sings it each year!"
and that Sarah girl was like "Yeah mom, SHE SANG THAT SONG LAST YEAR. YEAH. SHE SANG THAT SONG." an obvious hint. I was like........>.< EVIL LADY! Go get up there and sing it yourself hfjkheaklrjhewahjrkw

Dude, i just joined Icon_tutorial.....They have roughly 20 new posts a day O_O my F-list is being raped.
