I think the plot picked up when the charming, mysterious friend offered to aid the businesswoman and made her break her age-long secret about her witchy heritage by charging headlong into battle!! Did the girls ever expect that their adoptive mother was really a witch? Will they ever be the same again

I'm actually laughing about it now because it was just so dramatic! Very amusing. At least we know our lives can be much more interesting than any heroine in a novel, right?

I think you, Sakura and I make a very good little adoptive family. I know I was certainly proud of you last night, too, for sticking to your convictions and not giving in. (And I had no idea how gifted you were in magic!)

Well, when I wasn't tossing out sarcastic remarks, Sakura and I stayed close. And we sang, too - mainly "My Favorite Things," which helped a lot. I'm sure they wanted us gone as much as you wanted us back!

Goodness, that's one of my favorite songs! Tee-hee, our roles were quite well-matched then. I'm pleased the City did something right for once.

[ She looks up at her in the mirror ]

[Returns the look, hesitating a fleeting moment]
