Character Personality:
Michael is, above all, short tempered. Easily irritated barely begins to describe him as even the tiniest things have the ability to set him off. Something as simple as a nickname or even someone talking too much and too complicated is enough to cause him to explode, quite literally. When he snaps it's not only yelling but also abusing his powers to explode everything around him, not caring who or what gets in his way. The main triggers for for his anger though, his biggest insecurities, are when his height or his twin brother are mentioned. As such, not only is he recklessly violent but he's also very childlike and insecure more than anything.
While growing up, everyone looked down on him and no one thought he would ever amount to anything. So in order to compensate for it he worked his hardest to reach his max power at a young age. This shows a high amount of determination when he sets his mind on something, he'll push himself harder and go to any lengths to achieve his goal if it really means something to him. The downside resulted in his body stopped growing once it reached that point and since he forever looks like a young boy that causes him to get made fun of even more. But all he ever really wanted was for his brother to acknowledge him and love him, and he tried everything to get the attention he craved only for it to amount to nothing and him being left behind. Once his brother was proven evil everyone tried to get back on his good side since they realized he was the child of light, not the child of darkness they had assumed. It was too late though. He was bitter and jaded and hated all of them for the way he was treated. Because of that though, he's never been able to fully get over his insecurities and doesn't know how else to deal with them aside from the only thing he's good at; violence.
Despite his temper though, and perhaps adding to why it's understandable at times, Michael is very childish almost all the time and even somewhat innocent. He's simple and easily pleased. A good fight or a good hunt is all it takes to get him excited and in a good mood, sometimes even to the point of being giddy like a small child. At one point he can be furious and claim childishly that he no longer wants to be friends with his best friend and then in the very next scene he's all happy and bubbly explaining to that same friend that he went out hunting and brought him back presents he collected from the beasts he was tracking down. When the 'not friends anymore' thing was mentioned he just acted like his friend was the one being stupid and childish and just brushed it off like it had never happened and wasn't his fault.
On the same aspect, he has a very short attention span. He can't stand it when people go on and on talking and lecturing for long periods of time because it's hard for him to keep up and so many words like that confuses him easily. And whenever he gets confused, he gets mad and when he gets mad, things always explode somehow or another. Because blowing things up makes the other person mad and that results in a fight, which is the one thing he prides himself in. So essentially he takes situations that he's lost in and tries to turn them to his own favor instead. Michael also has a tendency to be very rude and uncaring about others feelings. He'll be vulgar and insult whoever he wants, whenever he wants and sometimes without even realizing it. Social graces aren't really a big thing for him since he was secluded for most of his life when no one would pay any attention to him in favor of practically worshiping his brother. He even has no problem stating that what he hates more than anything are big breasted women and transvestites, both of which he accused Setsuna of being while he was inhabiting Alexiel's body. Though, that alone proves that he's at least insightful to some degree as he knew instinctively that Setsuna was a man in a woman's body. They're very rare and far between, but there are instances where Michael shows that he's the leader of the Angelic Army for more reasons than just his power.
Another problem of his is the fact that he hardly ever takes things seriously. Even when messengers from one of the head angels in Heaven came calling for him to appear publicly he had his second-in-command wear a wig and pretend to be him since the messengers didn't know what Michael looked like. Sadly, the two men made the mistake once they found out it was a fake and said that they heard that Michael wasn't the tall blond haired man that humans portrayed him as but really he was just a red haired little boy. Which, of course, pinged Michael's anger and he was instantly there holding the guy up by the front of his shirt. When they pleaded with him that he must appear to help raise the moral of the other angels he told them that if they want him to move or do anything then they needed to start a war because him and his boys were getting bored and antsy. However, when he laughed it off and told his army to do what they want with the messengers the two made the mistake of saying he was no better than his brother Lucifer. That was enough to get him to snap completely and even the army ran for cover as the entire building exploded around them and the two messengers destroyed. When he checks to see if his men are still alive and they tell him that killing messengers from Sevi was going far, even for him, he points out that they were just robots the entire time and he knew that Sevi didn't trust him enough to send real angels to talk to him. Once again, this not only shows Michael's violence but also the insecurities, the childishness and the fact that he doesn't care about anything unless there's something in it for him.
On top of it all, Michael is exceedingly arrogant and sometimes overconfident in himself. He'll plow forward, not even caring or fearing about losing the fight because to him he can't ever lose. Whenever he introduces himself, he goes on and on about how badass and awesome he is, always going over the top and making sure other people know how feared and amazing he thinks he is. And while he can live up to most of his reputation, it's not always like that in battle. Against Setsuna, he was convinced he was going to win and got pissed off when Raphael stepped in to shield him and drag him away from the fight. And it's even said he does the same in battles, forsaking even neatly planed out battle strategies to just burst in, sword blazing, and confident that nothing can beat him.
However, despite all of his faults if anything Michael can be considered a loyal friend. When Raphael was in depression because of everyone in Heaven looking down on him because of a scandal that was uncovered, Michael was there for him. Granted, he was there to yell at him and ask him why the hell he was locking himself away and angsting, but the fact that he was there and cheerful about it, treating Raphael as if nothing was wrong and everything was still the same was enough. Despite the question of whether or not Michael actually knew there was a problem in the first place or if he was completely oblivious to the rumors going around and everything else like usual. And when Raphael went into a coma from exhausting his powers, Michael listened to Raphael's words before he lost consciousness and agreed to be there when he woke up so that they could finish their fight.
Another good point is that despite how volatile he can be, Michael really is pure of heart. The Child of Light, he was supposedly born to be the shining Lord of all the angels. However, for the longest time he believed himself to be the Child of Darkness from the prophecy and was determined to try and prove himself. When it was discovered otherwise, he was already too jaded to care. But even if he doesn't show it, his heart is still pure and he does have some morals he sticks to. He'll fight and kill anything he sees as an enemy, but he won't hurt innocents who can't defend themselves. He'll protect people if they need it, even if he may insult them and complain about it he won't really mind too much.
Character Abilities you would like to expand on further:
Fighting wise, Michael is like a loose canon. He attacks hard and strong and doesn't stop or bother seeing what's in his way so long as his goal is obliterated. He'll burn anything and everything in his path, even throwing away any and all battle plans for the sake of enjoying the heat of the moment. Depending on circumstances, he may or may not be able to see when he needs to stop. Usually if it's something more serious then someone he trusts can stop him, or if he's shocked out of it by something. Otherwise, he'll stop when he's damn ready. And considering his lust for battle and facing strong opponents, it's usually when his enemy is dead that he decides to stop.
It's mainly his swordsmanship that he's proud of, always wielding his flaming holy sword like a pro (even though it's almost bigger than he is), but he's also just as skilled in hand to hand combat when it comes down to it. On top of that, he has great physical strength aided by his fire powers as he has a nasty habit of simply breaking through walls and roofs instead of simply using a door to enter from.
As the Archangel of Fire he could not only create and control flames at will but also had an immunity to fire to the point where he could be in a heat that would melt the skin off of even other angels and be completely unharmed by it. Along with that is an immunity to sickness and bacteria that comes with being an angel thanks to the protection of their wings. And as the General of the Angelic Army, Michael has a high pain tolerance beyond even what most angels have since he's been on the front lines of the battlefields so many times in all the major wars, he can handle severe pain with barely even a flinch.
His energy is near unending and he's mostly optimistic about things. Michael doesn't really hold grudges and if he really has to can get along with just about anyone, even if he hated that person initially. Very adaptable and willing to work with the situations thrown at him, he knows what he's doing most of the time even if it doesn't seem that way. And of course, his loyalty towards those who he decides are worthy of his friendship is near unwavering.
Character Weaknesses you would like to expand on further:
One of his biggest weaknesses is his insecurities over his own appearance. Unlike normal angels who stop aging physically somewhere in their twenties or later, Michael hit his full power too soon and stopped much to early. Because of that he's shorter than all the other angels and gets mocked because of his appearance. He covers it up with anger, but he hates himself for it. He does acknowledge it was his own fault, he was immature so he became stuck in an immature body to match his mind, but that doesn't stop him from throwing fits about it when people bring it up. He even goes as far as wearing one to two inch platform boots or heels to make himself a little taller than normal.
Another issue, though one that's not as severe by the end of the series, is anything to do with his brother Lucifer. It was a sensitive subject for him and the two major rules in heaven when dealing with Michael were that you never spoke to him about his height or his brother. Doing both of which once resulted in him blowing up his own Powers Headquarters in a fit of blind rage. He was always in Lucifer's shadow, but the thing he always wanted more than anything was his brother's approval. When Lucifer betrayed him, it tore him apart and almost broke him completely if it weren't for Raphael stepping in. He thought he had bested his brother, that Lucifer would finally have to admit that Michael was worth something because he had landed an attack on him, but seeing Lucifer just mocking him about it crushed every bit of confidence he had. He couldn't understand why his brother would betray Heaven like that, or him, and not knowing for years always tore into him. With the help of Setsuna though, he came to understand that all of his rage was because of how much he loved his brother, not hated or resented him, and how hurt he was over the betrayal. After finally seeing his brother again and knowing he helped Setsuna in the final battle, he was able to accept his issues just a bit better. He doesn't throw fits of rage over the mere mention of Lucifer anymore, but he doesn't like talking about it either because it brings up all the bad memories he'd rather not dwell on.
As for all of Michael's numerous other traits that can be considered weaknesses, they're all character flaws to do with his personality and have already been expanded upon in that section. He's short tempered, full of insecurities, has a ridiculously short attention span, doesn't care about how his words could hurt others and is unbelievably childish at times. All of these things can and have had drastic consequences and even then, depending on the situation Michael may not even learn from said consequences, just brushing them off and not learning his lesson if it's not something that gets to him personally.
[ SOUL CAMPAIGN SECTION ]
What abilities will your character retain in Soul Campaign?
+ The olympic level speed and strength
+ Resistance to heat (Not full on fire, just heat alone)
+ Immunity to sickness
+ Swordsmanship and hand to hand combat knowledge
What weaknesses will your character lose or gain in Soul Campaign?
+ To him, being no better than a human is a weakness in itself.
As all of Michael's biggest weaknesses are purely psychological, he'll still have all of them.
The wish Death the Kid made to the BREW in 2009 was to “rescue Death City and stop the waves of Madness from overtaking the world.” By whatever means necessary. Pretend you are the BREW. Why would you choose to bring this character to Death City?
An angel with a pure soul, a general almost as old as time itself. He is able to lead armies of light against the forces of darkness, never allowing evil to seep into his mind, body or soul. As the Child of Light, he could make a strong asset in the war against the witches as fighting is what he lives for. Bored of his own world now that his war is over, he would be more than willing to help fight in a more challenging one. It's good to have ones so willing to lend aid without asking for anything else in return, simply doing so because it's something that they enjoy.
If your character has difficulty verbally communicating or can’t verbally communicate at all (mute or non-humanoid), elaborate on how this will be treated in the game.

[ WEAPON ONLY SECTION ]
Why is your character a Weapon and not a Meister?
While he is a general in his world, he's not exactly the best when it comes to battle plans. He's too reckless on his own, not caring of consequences and would only get himself and his Weapon hurt if he were to be a Meister. As a weapon he would be more useful, able to give advice but not control the situation. He would be encouraging to his Meister, urging them on and insisting that they can go further than they think. Very good moral support, but without the reckless abandon that would come with him being the one in charge of how things go. Michael is a wild fire in battle on his own, it's good that he be kept on a metaphorical leash so that things don't go horribly wrong. He also doesn't listen to anyone who tells him otherwise, so as a Meister he wouldn't listen to any advice from his Weapon and would just go on with whatever he feels like. Which is why he'd also have a better chance not messing up a resonation as a Weapon instead of a Meister, because at least then he's contained and unable to get too excited in battle. At least not in a way that could cause harm.
What is your character’s Weapon Form? Why?
Michael's Weapon Form will be his sword. As he's obsessed with fighting and battles, his sword is most important to him and the item he carries with him at all times. Even in times of peace it's not too far from him and still gets use as he goes out on hunting trips to release built up stress and have fun. To him a good time is when he has his sword in his hand and is using it to cut through something, he's really not picky on what that something is as long as he's having fun doing it.
http://i41.tinypic.com/29mab15.png The hilt is made of pure gold, the metal of the blade almost crystal like in appearance and seems to glow with a faint holy light. The entire length of the sword reaches 5 feet and nine inches, the blade alone taking up four feet and five inches.
What is your character’s Weapon Ability?
Holy flames. The sword is encased in fire during battle, the energy from the fire able to give the Meister a higher resistance to the Madness Wavelength. The intensity of the fire and strength of the resistance is determined by how weak or how strong the resonance between the two is.
[ SOUL INFORMATION ]
Describe your character’s soul with six adjectives.
rebellious, childish, energetic, pure, volatile, fearless
What does your character’s soul look like? Be creative.
Blue dragon tattoo on the left side of it's face, belt around it's head for a headband, little pigtail braid. The color would be almost bright white, but a pinkish red tint to it.
[ SAMPLES ]
Provide a First Person style sample in the form of a post to the DEMISE network.
[The video flicks on to show a boy, no older than fifteen. Blue dragon tattoo on his face running down his chest, dressed only in leather shorts with suspenders and leather boots up to his thighs. There's a fanged grin on that face, he's obvious excited about something.]
Hey assholes, listen up! I am the great Lord Michael, badass general of the angelic army and archangel of flames! You'd better be fucking glad BREW decided to drag me along to this place, you'd all be totally screwed without me! You got a war to fight? Count me in! I'll show you how shit's REALLY taken care of!
[For a moment his expression shifts, annoyance crossing his features and wiping away that grin just as fast as it was there in the first place.]
Though there was OBVIOUSLY a fucking mistake, I'm a Weapon apparently and if I'm not what I fucking know I HAVE to be, I'm gonna be pissed. Any of you assholes out there good with handling swords? And no big breasted chicks, dumbasses or uptight old farts either, there's only so much I'm willing to put up with.
[He pauses with a thoughtful look, idly scratching at the side of his face.]
How the hell do I even transform anyways?
Provide a Third Person sample set during the last minutes on their world and/or their first few moments in the Kishin Chamber.
Under normal circumstances Michael wouldn't even bother looking for an explanation, much less be patient enough to sit through and listen to one. But being in a strange chamber, surrounded by people who looked just as confused or pissed off as him and being damn certain that no, his wings were not coming out anytime soon nor were his powers working, are certainly things that can change someone's mind. His eyes narrowed in suspicion towards everyone around him and it took every ounce of will power he had not to just burst and demand he be sent back.
But the curiosity was there, he shouldn't have been able to be here on Assiah in the first place much less be FORCED here by something. Not even the Satans could pull of something like that, taking an angel from the higher layers of Heaven and dragging them down to Assiah stripped of their powers. So in one of the rare instances, he waited. The more time passed, the more angry caution turned into sheer boredom. Really, it didn't take more than two minutes for the transition to be made. Patience had never been one of his strong points.
When the explanation finally came (what the fuck was Shibusen and why should he care?) there was one point above all that caught his interest, his eyes lighting up in excitement. They were at war, had been for some time. A war with a powerful enemy, and HE was brought here by some weird ass device to fight in it. Hell. Fucking. Yes. Raphael would be fine on his own for a while, not like he was going anywhere, and Heaven was just plain boring again without the war to fight and the Messiah back where he belonged living as a normal lame human.
Going home was the last thing on his mind, the rest of the lameass tour spent with him just imagining what could possibly be in store in this place, what kinds of battles he could get into. Finding a witch and fighting one head on, defeating them one after another with his awesome skills and coming out on top every time. The part about needing a partner was kind of a downer, the information that he was a fucking WEAPON even more so, but those were just minor details.
Obviously, if he was a weapon then he was going to be the most badass and awesome weapon these assholes had ever seen, he'd make sure of it. He'd become a Death Scythe, and while he likes being the one doing the fighting somehow there was still an odd satisfaction out of imagining what it would be like to be the object that gets to tear into his enemies and be close enough to see the look in their eyes as he defeats them. Those thoughts alone satisfy him enough to be in a good mood. This was going to be fun.
