(no subject)
I have been lazy about updating and such because nothing new is really going on. I spent one expensive day in Tokyo with Kyle riding a boat, drinking at Starbucks, eating dinner with Eri and Yosuke, drinking, and figuring out details for China. Twas fun and I'm really really excited about China now. Only a week or so before leaving for Hong Kong! This "plan" is a year in the making, from a not-so-serious suggestion to its fruition now. Yay! :)
I read the illegal copy of Harry Potter, courtesy of Jing Jing. The ending is a bit too cheesy and sounds like "...and in the end, they lived happy ever after." But, I enjoyed the book nonetheless. I didn't like the ending because it did not give enough information on what people ended up doing with their lives others than making babies. Also, I don't really want the series to end yet after years and years of anticipating the next one. I just looked up the year that the book was first published, 1997. Holy crap, has it really been 10 years????
I had predicted that one of the Weasleys will die, and I'm right. Cheers? I think I liked all of the previous books are better than this one, but there are some really good scenes and heartfelt deaths. I just wish that some of the deaths are described instead of, oops, his body is lain there. Character developments that I am really satisfied with are: Ron, Snape, Lupin, Neville, and Dumbledore. Not so satisfied with: Ginny, Hagrid, Draco.

As confirmed by the Great Firewall of China (http://www.greatfirewallofchina.org), Livejournal is banned in China so I don't think I'll update for the next month or so. Maybe I'll send out emails or post on Facebook though.
