Breaking this into two entries cause i havent finished uploading all the photos. I havent even gone through the photos i took (other than the stonehenge one) so these are mostly pics stu took.
Okay so we started our trip in London...
which was, of course, very cool if you are into big cities, which I am. saw lots of things while i was there... The British Museum, The Victoria and Albert museum (which had a very cool history of fashion exhibit), the London Eye, and even the London Dungeon (which was a mostly accidental visit, but entertaining nonetheless)
Posing near the London Eye. You can see a good part of the city from up there. it is really very cool.
And we sought out one of the oldest pubs in London, which was called Ye Olde Cheshire Cheese.
and i had a beer:
Theeen, i also did a tour of the Roman Baths:
I am sad to say i was too chicken to drink some of the water. after hearing everyona talk about how terrible it was. They even sell it in the gift shop. terrifying.
We also visited the city of Lacock, which is very picturesque. Parts of Harry Potter 1 were filmed in the church in Lacock, but they were closed :( We were also told that Lots of Harry Potter 6 were filmed here as well. My guess is that it will be the scenes at Marvolo's house. but who knows.
In Lacock i met a cat:
and drank a warm beer:
and ended at sunset stonehenge:
We left London after about 4,5 days and went to the Cotswolds. More specifically, a tiny town called Morten-in-Marsh (most of the cities have names like that.) And we went around and visited some neighboring towns. and did lots of shopping and visited all the markets.
my new house: (the sign says so!)
My hotel room had a free bottle of sherry on the nighstand. too bad it tasted like cough medicine or i mightve been blissfully drunk every night:
Visted Blenheim Palace, Winston Churchhill's home:
There was a hedge maze!! We tried to race to see who could get out first. Stuart cheated. what else is new.
Went to Oxford, which has lots of pretty architecture.
And i had a beer at a famous pub:
Steak and ale pie..
We had to leave Ed in Oxford....
My first castle of the trip! (Warwick Castle)
I threw Ed in the dungeon for his previous behavior:
And then threatened him with this torture device:
We left the cotswolds and moved on to St Ives
and i met a cat:
Near St Ives is a theater that is carved into the side of the cliffs.
They were showing HMS Pinafore
WHEW. thats all for part one..
Next update includes cornwall, country cottages, and wild ponies.
