I went home to my parents' for Thanksgiving. It was pretty great.

I flew home Saturday.

Sunday, I went into New York for several days. I stayed with Kat. She is the best. I first went to the East. Village to eat with Ed, Misha, Julie, Akiva and jcreed. We wandered some, shedding people until it was just Akiva, jcreed and me. Then we went to areading by one Katherine Valente of a book about Prester John. This had accordions, bellydancing and stripping. The stripping had a surprise ending, which was in keeping with the material. Overall, great, but kind of odd. Then we found Kat, dropped jcreed off at his home and went to a diner. The I had the best milkshake I've ever had. Finally, Akiva returned to jcreed's and I went to Kat's.

Monday, Akiva and I wandered the city a bunch. At night, I met up with Ken, Maggie (also the best) and Noah. We had Middle Eastern food. Then Noah left, and Ken and I waited in Washington Square Park for KatieMac. We talked about math and the possible Alcove CTY scholarship. Ms. Mac failed to materialize, so we went to a coffeeshop and mathed some more. Then Ken left and I went to the train station with Maggie. Then back to Kat's,

Tuesday, Akiva, Katand I went to the Cloisters, where I have been wanting to go since I was like 10. It was great, gorgeous and full of medieval art. Then Kat went home, and Akiva and i went to Port Authority. jcreed showed up, and we said goodbye to Akiva and then went to a diner. Milkshake, not as good this time. Then I went back to Kat's.

Wednesday I went to the Episcopal Cathedral of SaintJohn, which was gorgeous. Then I walked down to Columbus Circle, getting lunch and seeing the Macy's Parade balloons being inflated. Then home.

Thursday, I ate food. It was delicious.

Friday, my parents and I went to New York again. We went to the Cooper Hewitt to look at all kinds of designed objects, which was great.

Saturday, I flew back to the Uttermost West.

Yesterday (Sunday again!), I ate sushi with Emily, and then we went to see Tangled. It was pretty good. Totally adorable, but not really memorable. It didn't have any really good songs (though one, with thugs singing about their dreams, was pretty good). It did, however, have a brief, spot on, and gloriously perfect Blade Runner reference. Then I drank delicious coffee and puttered around on the Internet.
