I spent last Thursday, Friday and Saturday in San Francisco. I arrived Thursday and met up with Akiva. We grabbed delicious crepes and then met up with Boris at the fire opera, which was awesome. It turns out that fire is pretty cool, as well as dancing, acrobatics and aerialism. Then a return to the Watermelon, where Lea showed up after some minor adventures. Then sleep.
The next day, Lea and I wandered the Haight and other bits of Haight Street for much of the day. The best thing we saw was a radio made by painting a mannequin crazy blue colors and replacing its breasts with speakers. We also hit two art stores. That evening, we met up with Akiva, Boris, Allie (who was in the process of moving to SF) and Allie's dad for delicious Uva foods.
The next day, Akiva, Boriss and I went with Lea to Lea's house for soup. Lea's house explains much. Then we left Lea there and returned to SF. We wandered around the Mission for a bit, and then met up with Allie for dinner at a delicious Mexican restaurant. Then Akiva, Allie and I wandered Golden Gate Park and then sleep.
Sunday, I flew back up here and worked on the PLACES paper. I had dinner with Jess at the Honey Hole.
Monday evening was climbing with Tom, and dinner with him, Jess and Amos at another delicious Mexican restaurant.
Today was some work and a pretty awesome colloquium on robotic cars.
