This morning I had an interesting confirmation that my thought is indeed verbal, even when I am not thinking about it.
I was in algorithms, and the professor was talking about Djikstra's algorithm. I was doodling category theory, and thinking about multiary products. At some point, she said the word "unique" just as I was thinking it, taking almost exactly the same amount of time to say it as it took me to think it.
This was phenomenally bizarre to experience. It was like saying something at the same time as someone else says it, when you hadn't realized you'd been talking. It was like some sort of weird external reflection of my mental state.
