Excellent! Snape is very definitely Snape, Lupin has the determination and humor and intelligence I fell in love with in the beginning. And what a wonderfully intricate backstory for the war and for Charlie.

Thank you! I really enjoyed working with the backstory and just referencing it throughout, rather than giving a long-winded "and this is what happened during the war" scenario. I actually hadn't considered posting to hp_lit with this one, as I was told (very nicely and reasonably) that the last one I submitted was too plotty to be accepted! If you think this one fits, though, I'd be more than happy to subit it at hp_lit.

This was so wonderful! And Odile absolutely rocked. I loved the slow build up and Severus' initial reluctance (and fear). Charlie's story was poignantly portrayed and added a depth to the whole fic. This was such a sweet, lovely story.
