On a lighter note..
Hope everyone had a lovely Christmas/Yule/festive season!
It's my 3 year anniversary with Alex today - and our first night apart! I'm back in Portsmouth still, staying at my brother's house and hi-jacking his laptop, and Alex is back in Brighton ready for his return to work tomorrow. I thought it would be weirder than this, you know.. Anyway, Christmas was quite low-key this year. Saw everyone we needed to and got some nice things for the flat.
Present Highlights:
Amongst some other things, Alex bought me Emilie Autumn's album (yay!) and a very posh pen from Pen To Paper, which I sampled in the shop in September and said "it's like writing with silk!" He remembered and went back to the shop to go through all the pens to find me it *squee* so sweet.
My mum bought me some pretty things like a Venetian hand mirror and an amazing goddess statue.
I got an amazing skulls and roses padded guitar strap for my electric from my brother.
Got a fabulous Belly Dancing kit from Charlie (which has only exacerbated my excitement for starting in January!)
Got a Japanese cookbook from Alex's grandparents, which will come in handy for my "Japanese food month" coming up soon
Oh and not forgetting Tarma who has given me the bright red streaks in my hair!
Also got quite a nice little bundle of money which I really look forward to buying some cool things with.
Thoughts:
I ate too much.
It's very cold. But won't snow >_<
Can't wait to put into action all my plans for the new year.
I love my boo. So much.
Family sucks sometimes. Most of the time.
Being left out is rude. But then certain people always are..
