About a month or so ago, the current AMV Co-ordinator for Manifest contacted me for some advice on how to run the contest.
When I was talking to him, I offered to host a couple of panels, some of the same ones that I hosted last year.
I was told that this would be fine, but didn't hear anything more.
Admittedly, I probably should have contacted the panels co-ordinator then and there, but I've had a metric shit tonne of school work to do, so I wasn't really worried about manifest.
Anyway, I asked again sometime later whether I would be hosting the panels and was told yes.
I contacted another volunteer who asked for some information about my panels that she would then forward onto to panels co-ordinator, which I gave.
So, I'm waiting to hear when my event will be on, but no one seems to know. Not their fault, they've got more important things to organise.
I contact the panels Co-ordinator today to ask them.
No response.
The Manifest schedule came out about an hour ago.
My panels aren't even listed.
Awkward.
I don't really mind, it's just that I would have liked it if someone had told me they weren't going ahead.
To be fair, this is probably my own fault for not contacting the panels Co-ordinator directly earlier on, but, what are you gonna do?
