...Of course, a month after I buy the MFU DVD boxset for $130, Amazon puts it on sale for $50. I am definitely very salty about this (that's 80 gatdang dollars I could've saved), but that's the price I pay for being an impatient impulse buyer. Ugh.
Anyway, switching gears now, I went to this cool restaurant yesterday that is a converted Victorian house--and the house was kept/restored to its original Victorian style. It was so amazing and incredible, especially the private room where I was in; that was a converted drawing room, with a fireplace and everything. And the old-time photos on the wall gave it this creepy-but-cool atmosphere. The most intriguing one was the photo of a Union solider above the mantle; he's got his pistol out and it looks as though he's pointing at something with it (Kelsey likened it to an old episode of Scooby-Doo from 1970, and it definitely does feel like it!). Definitely plotbunny-inducing, and I have a couple pics under the cut.
I also have some pics of the lab finches--today was spa day, and a rare day where finch!Illya (on the left in both pics) and finch!Napoleon let me take their pictures. The first one is after they both had a dip in the birdbath and where chilling out on the nest basket to dry off, and the second one was about two hours later after they were both dry. Shortly after I took that second pic, Napoleon fell asleep and started twittering in his sleep, and Illya, who was awake, was responding to him; it was adorable (also, fun fact: there is evidence to support that birds can dream).
And that's all for now; have a lot of work to do...
