...Wait, what!?

...Accurate/perfectly-timed icon is accurate/perfectly timed--

So, I happened upon a couple more old news articles on one of my faves, Simon Oakland (because Decades is currently running a Black Sheep Squadron marathon that I'm having in the background so that I can watch Simon's scenes--he plays General Moore), and something in this one made me go "Wait, what!?" Basically, this line about some of Simon's past roles--

"Other only slightly less recent appearances include "I Spy," a "Man from UNCLE," a "Wild Wild West," and two "Daniel Boones."

Ummm... WHAT. If Simon had been in MFU, I'm sure I would've known about it before I had ever fallen for the show (I'd fallen for him back in 2010-2011 and have read his credits list on IMDB numerous times, and there is absolutely zero mention of MFU); case in point, I'd known his friend and Kolchak costar Darren McGavin (another one of my faves) was in an ep ("The Deadly Quest Affair," which I went out of viewing order to see because I wanted to see Darren in it--and enjoyed the ep immensely; you can read my short liveblog here, but start from the bottom of the page) a for a while before I ever saw the series. While it's true that Simon has worked with Robert Vaughn in Bullitt (I ended up giffing one of their scenes together here), but it's not as though they mistook Bullitt for MFU.

So, one of the following possibilities is true--

1. The reporter did make a mistake and got MFU confused for one of the spy shows that Simon has been on (either Mission: Impossible or Get Smart).

OR

2. Simon does, in fact, have an uncredited background cameo in MFU that is either in an ep I haven't seen or was so fleeting that I missed it (likely, as I was probably distracted by Robert and/or David at the time).

Either way, I must find the answer to this. Yes.

EDIT: Also, WOW. The episode I'm currently watching has an enemy officer attempting to brainwash one of the men into killing Gen. Moore. I thought something about the actor seemed familiar, and when I looked up the info on IMDB... it turns out he's the VA of Daolong Wong from Jackie Chan Adventures. ...Well then...
