Hmm...
Well, today's final Smash Direct was a little underwhelming, but that was mainly due to the fact that of the three new characters revealed, Cloud was the only one I knew anything about and had any interest in, and he'd already been revealed in last month's Direct. The other two characters were the protagonist for the upcoming Fire Emblem game (haven't really gotten into that series, even though there are quite a few of the characters already in Smash), and sorceress called Bayonetta, from a series which I know absolutely nothing about--the Direct basically describes her as an angel-hunting dark witch, who basically is a modern Veran--she can control time and space and can summon demons--and she fights with guns like Samus Aran. *shrugs* Okay then....
Anyway, I saw what is, so far, my favorite episode of Benson so far (so far being only 10 episodes, so that could change in the future, but...). Basically, Benson, the governor, the governor's aide, the secretary, and the governor's press agent are taking a charter flight to some conference, only their pilot ends up getting a fatal heart attack mid-flight, and there's no copilot. The governor is the only one who's had any flight training, but while he can keep the plane steady, that's all he can do--he doesn't know how to land.
The governor basically appoints Benson as his copilot while he tries to navigate and find out where they are, leading to this brief exchange--
Press Agent: *walks in* ...Oh God, Benson is flying the plane!? *#NOPEs on out of the cockpit*
Governor: ...Now, Benson, you mustn't take that personally.
Benson (about ready to #NOPE on out of there, too): Don't worry; my train of thought is exactly the same...
They get some guidance on the radio to make to an airport and are being talked into a landing, but Benson and the governor still don't know if they can coordinate the plane into a landing safely, so there's an angsty friendship moment where they thank each other for being there for each other and, of course, they succeed in landing the plane. Definitely an intense and awesome ep!
Hopefully there will be others just as awesome!
