Forgot to link this, but another tumblr buddy inspired me to do
a Doctor Who song parody of "Under the Sea." I had fun writing that. XD
In general, I am very, very pleased and proud of how much writing I did this past month--aside from the days I was away (and I'll be making those up soon), I successfully did a Sherlock/Sherlock Holmes drabble a day as well as write multiple fics and drabbles for two additional fandoms--The Monkees and Doctor Who.
It has been a very long time since I wrote like that. I had been able to write for two fandoms when I first started writing on FFN--Yu-Gi-Oh and Phantom of the Opera. When I had my Carmen Sandiego renaissance, I juggled WITWICS and YGO. Once Hogan's Heroes came along, I juggled it while managing to write for Kolchak, as well. But it was after I wrote the wax museum fic that my muse lost its drive. I had a four-month fanfic lull until the Monkees got me writing again. My Monkees updates were once a week, and I'd pepper in a Sherlock Holmes piece here and there.
I honestly didn't know how I was going to juggle three fandoms once I became a Whovian, but, somehow, I was able to this past month--in fact, I estimate that I wrote about 35k words this July (give or take).
I just hope I can keep up this momentum...
