The 30-Day Disney meme, day 28, plus SQUEE!
{fangirl mode} Rockapella's new holiday CD (aptly titled A Rockapella Holiday, which is what their holiday concert shows have been called for a while now) is almost released! The iTunes version is going to be available to download soon, and the physical CD (which is what I'll be getting, since I generally prefer physical CDs whenever possible, especially in a case like Rockapella, where I know I'll be listening to all the tracks) should be out by the end of the month! But the preview clips are available on iTunes for sampling, and ooooh. The guys sing "Auld Lang Syne" on it. Auld Lang Syne. From the preview clip alone, it is absolutely epic. And the 30-Day Disney movie, Day 28: Favorite live-action Disney film
I had to think about this one; I do like Curse of the Black Pearl, but the rest of the Pirates franchise disillusioned me overall, and I didn't even see the fourth one yet. So, my choice for favorite live-action Disney movie is... Mary Poppins. it was my first live-action Disney movie (in fact, it was my second Disney movie after Beauty and the Beast. I absolutely love the chemistry between Julie Andrews and Dick van Dyke have onscreen, and it's just a fantastic story with stellar effects. And the music is absolutely wonderful.
Also, I have a pretty confident feeling that if/when I ever get to see No Deposit, No Return, it will quickly become my favorite alongside Mary Poppins. And it will likely be because of Darren McGavin.
