Caught this morning's Family Feud and was amused to see Richard try on a pair of plastic-rimmed glasses. XD They looked a lot like Brett Sommers' glasses from Match Game, and he struck a pose and tried to impersonate someone--was it Brett? XD; And yes, Kim, I did see today's Match Game eps, but nothing really stood out, except I was amused by Richard selecting "Ghost" for "______ Town." Awesome (too bad it didn't win...). XD That, along with a chat with Faye, reminded me of that ghost town Carmen fic I had started last year but was distracted from when Hogan's Heroes came along. I should dust off that fic and update it when I have time--it was meant to be a lighthearted, Monkees-esque Carmen fic...
And, in other news, Eric Stuart has a new CD out called "Falls on Me," apparently, which I was completely unaware of--granted, I'm not as up to date as I used to be now that my main fandom focus has changed from YGO to HH. But, even being aware of it now, I'm not as "Eeee, I've gotta get it!" as I would've been three or four years ago, and I was initially puzzled as to why when I realized that the majority of Eric's songs to tend to focus on love and romance, which would be great for Seto/Téa image songs (in fact, one of his songs actually provided the inspiration for the Dance Troupe fic, which, to this date, is still the most popular thing I've ever written on FFN--just a few weeks ago, someone favorited it), even if he rarely uses his Seto voice for his actual singing. XD; Unfortunately, I'm noticing a trend. I was anticipating Eric's "Empty Frame of Reference" CD back in 2009, but I found it to be average overall, and I don't think it's because of him--it's me. See, 2009 was the year of my Carmen Sandiego Renaissance, and I was absolutely squeeing and fangirling over Rockapella, so, naturally, their music overshadowed Eric's music and that's probably why I found "Empty Frame of Reference" to be average. So I'm a bit concerned that even though "Falls on Me" does sound promising from the preview clips, the fact is that my main fandom is Hogan's Heroes; so, will I find "Falls on Me" average because of Robert Clary's music?
All the same, I do intend to buy "Falls on Me" eventually. Like I said, the preview clips sound promising, even if most of the 18 songs are about love and romance. One of the songs is very reminiscent of the style of Phil Collins, so that is awesome. X3
