I've never posted this here before but at this point, I'm pretty sure I have enough roleplayers on my f-list to make this worthwhile. Give it to me, bbs.
hell I got carried away with the rp talk and I forgot to *weeeeeeeeeeeee* about the phantom stuff :) It's really really nice of you to think of me and i can't thank you enough. How do I pm you on LJ? never done it before Re: LND, I don't know, I really loved it from the first notes. I think my favourite bit is "under a moonless sky" especially towards the end of the song, but I really live the gustave/phantom duet and "devil take the hindmost" is my sister's and mum's favourite. When I'd first heard "till I hear you sing" a few months ago, I'd thought it was rather sappy, but I found the recording in the actual show very powerful and the song has definitely grown on me. You're right about the fanfiction thing, my other friend and colleague also said it's like a brilliant fanservice the way the phantom is now the love interest of two women and poor raoul is totally thrown to the dogs. Still that isn't a bad thing in my book (though I did love gaston leroux's raoul and it's a shame none of the adaptations have kept him the way he was in the novel). All in all I think I can safely say I absolutely love LND (and I almost, almost committed sacrilege by thinking for a bit that, musically at least, I might even like it more than the original phantom). Oof, I haven't ranted online in a really long time, hope I didn't wear you out :D:D:D
