Hee! *Love* Thank you.

But my first response was:

*Wide eyes* Ghost Rose! But I did Ghost Rose! :p

Of course that was a very different Rose. This is much more interesting than mine.

I loved the tone of this piece, it's almost musical. Certainly, it is beautiful. And I loved all the little references to old school characters. I also like that Martha has a little more understanding of Rose, but more importantly a greater understanding of her place as the Doctor's companion.

And the ending was wonderful.

Thank you.

You're welcome, I'm glad you enjoyed it! I'm sure a lot of us ended up writing ghosty Rose - it's a good hook for a story, heh. I haven't read yours yet as I've been so busy I decided I wasn't going to read any of the other stories until I got mine done and posted. :)

Thanks again for running the ficathon! I had a lot of fun writing this.

This was achingly beautiful. I actually got a lump in my throat from reading it. I loved how Rose helped Martha make peace with her new life.

Martha cocked her head, something snapping into place. “Hang on. You sound…you sound real, now. Like someone the Doctor could love. Like a friend.”

I love this line. It sums things up so perfectly for me.

Beautiful. I love the idea of everyone's memories staying like that.

Martha casually using similar words to the Seventh Doctor made me smile. :)

Aaaand I continue to be in love with the concept of 'they are all still in the TARDIS somehow' stories. But this is so wonderfully eerie before it becomes something huggable, where you aren't quite sure whether something awful's happened. I adored the old-skool refs and the circularity of the timeline (so brilliantly encapsulated in what Martha says at the end, oh, makes me want to cry). Harry! And rudeness. That hasn't happened yet, except it has. Oh yes.

I love this notion that they all sort of turn into him, skipping through time and rewatching the good bits and trying to make sure it turns out properly, with all his glee and none of his fucked-upped-ness. And it is because they have each other maybe. Oh, you fill me with lovely words and overarching fondness for this barmy old fandom, truly. Yay you!

Thank you so much for the lovely review, hon! I'm glad it worked for you - especially since trying to make the narrative make logical sense was very tricky - and your second paragraph there is exactly what I was trying for, hurrah. :D

::snugs you::

Every part of this is beautiful, and the ways that 'we' and 'you' are used to mean is brilliant and chilling. I adore this.
