So the bodice silk/drill base is all constructed. It has numerous boning channels (primarily over the bust, but also on each seam to help the bodice retain its shape) which are hidden in a double drill layer beneath the "octarine" silk.
The lighting isn't very good in these pictures, I apologise - it's christmastime, the lighting should be great!
I've been concentrating on the petticoat lately as I want the right level of 'foof'. My client is my height and I don't want the width of the petticoat to overwhelm her height and be unflattering.
Here's the petticoat as is with the underskirt pinned in place. The petticoat will have an elastic waistband and in these photos has a few extra pieces of tulle floating around that won't be there later which create a slightly more bell shape. The final silhouette will be more streamlined from the waist.
