So first of all uploading photos to LJ is very frustrating. I should get photobucket or something....
Second of all, today I worked on
ladydisillusion 's and
morrigan191 's corsets. And got quite a bit done considering I lost two hours celebrating the re-birth of my moped (It liiiiiiiives!)
It's coming together nicely. I have the buckles attached at the back, and one of two hook/eye fasteners hand sewn to the front panels (straps are detachable). It's a bit wrinkly in the pictures, which is a combination of a) satin is satan and even when in person it's perfectly smooth the slightest amount of light hitting the weave shows up in pictures, and b) it's not being held taught on a shapely human body yet.
Closeup of the buckle detail from within.
I did some nifty zig zag stitching on the front modesty panel for this one, which pleases me greatly. I do rather like quilting and cording details. The first picture is a pretty good representation of the actual colour of the silk (it's rather hard/infuriating to capture the true colour of shot silks...)
And the shiny shiny delustered satin lining. Nom nom nom.
