Scrivener question

Those of you who use Scrivener - do you edit in scrivener also? Or in word? Something else? I am pondering my options. Scrivener was great to use for the first draft, but I am not sure how well it would work for me in revisions.

I do, with some copy/pasting of sections to keep my recension-components clustered. (I'm not writing fiction or verse, however.)

I usually draft longhand, type into Scrivener and do all my revisions there. The only thing I use Word for is proofing the final version, or doing copyedits with an editor (which I also add into Scrivener). Basically, Scrivener is my master copy and I export copies for submission from that. It makes it easier for me to keep track of which version is current.

YRMV. I do. But I also used a plain text editor for years, because I found that Word et al interfered with my ingrained keystroke-combinations, like "option-shift-backkey" to select the previous word for deletion. And don't get me started on "smart"-anything. To use word, I need to turn off all the "helpful" features, but it still bollocks things up.

But, as of version 2, I've also found an annoying bug in scrivener (mac version only) where when you edit around a quote, it moves the cursor unexpectedly to the other side of the quote when you hit space. It's nearly enough to make me drop Scrivener for revisions.

I am currently editing my novel in Scrivener. It's actually really helpful because I can easily jump to chapters and scenes and can leave pieces incomplete and find them later. Harder to do that in a Word doc.
