growing up
the new sleater-kinney album makes me want to cry it is so good. they have followed an interesting musical path over the course of all their albums. this one seems to be the most done in 'their style' than any of the others. It feels really mature. and it's so pretty!
i've been going to more and more 'important' meetings with 'executives' and 'business' people, and i'm feeling more and more pressure to dress in a suit to be taken more seriously. or at least slacks and a blouse instead of black gap jeans, a red gap zippered hoodie and a dark colored v-neck shirt.
I keep being told that I look too young to be serious, and that's why people may take my opinion lightly. but i don't know wtf that's all about since i still get stuff done. Anyways, I'm feeling the pressure to dress older, and I don't like it. Old people clothes are expeeeensive, and I haven't gotten my yearly review and raise yet, so I don't feel like spending my extra cash on unfeminine uncomfortable clothing. Unless I got blouses that give me big cleavage and then I can dress as the slutty secretary who's been naughty. *that* would get me taken seriously, I'm sure.
