30 Days of Fan Fiction meme, Day 14
I'd nearly forgotten about this meme...
14 - Ratings - how high are you comfortable with going? Have you ever written higher? If you're comfortable with NC-17, have you ever been shocked by finding that the story you're writing is G-rated instead?
I'm not comfortable writing more than PG-13, in terms of sexuality and violence. I've... pushed the envelope with some drabbles, but they make me uncomfortable and I usually I leave out a lot of details. I find those kinds of stories more to my own reading taste as well - descriptions of [censored] and [censored] can get boring. It's more interesting to leave some mystery in there.
In terms of violence, I'm just not a fan of gore or blood splashing everywhere. I'll write what's needed to accurately describe a scene, but I'm not going to wallow in it.
