My hunt for my netbook yesterday.
Stopped at Worst Best Buy to check out the options and to see the thing in person.
Me: *ogling the shiny tiny netbooks*
Sales guy: "Can I help you?"
Me: "Oh yes! I'm looking at netbooks, but I only see two. Are there more?"
Sales guy: "There's more online. What will you be using it for?"
Me: "Probably mostly writing."
Sales guy: *blinks slowly* "It's not a very powerful computer. It's slow."
Me: "I'm just going to be writing. You know, WRI-TING."
Sales guy: "But it's not very powerful."
Me: *getting a tad frustrated* "I don't need a gaming computer!"
*sigh* Whatever happened to genuinely helpful sales reps? Needless to say, I abandoned the sales guy at this point in the conversation and left, because some other folks were looking at the netbooks and I didn't feel like loitering around doing nothing to wait my turn again.
But I did come out with a better idea of what I want, so I suppose that's the important thing.
