It's going to be my turn to pick a book for book club next month, and already I'm in a tizzy trying to pick one. I really want to pick Incarceron by Catherine Fisher, but there aren't a lot of copies available at the library, and so far, that's been a deciding factor in how we choose our book club books. So, I'm asking you, dear flist, for your recommendations and why. Give me a title and why you think I should read it for book club.
No restrictions, except bodice ripper type stuff.
Edit: It can't be too long either. Unbroken was our longest so far, I think, and only one person was able to get through all of it by the time we met.
Here's a sampling of the varying types of books we've read (and enjoyed)
+ Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini
+ Blue Like Jazz by Donald Miller
+ The Book Thief by Markus Zusak
+ The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins
+ Girl Meets God by Lauren Winner
+ Secret Life of Bees by Sue Monk Kidd
+ Unbroken by Lauren Hillenbrand
