Just finished watching the spectacular Avatar finale!! What a great story. *wriggles with glee*
+ The only thing left unresolved is Zuko's mom. I so wish there had been a scene, even if just a tiny one, of a reunion between Zuzu Fire Lord Zuko and his mum. *wibble*
+ I wondered before about Aang's pacifism and what he would do when facing the Fire Lord. I think the ending they went for was fair as well realistic. Though I can't believe that what made Ozai dangerous was just his firebending--he had to be a crafty SOB to wrangle the throne away from the oldest brother--but in the scope of the story, taking his firebending was enough to do the job. Though wouldn't it be an interesting sequel to see Ozai claw his way back to power a few years down the road? Perhaps he's paroled from good behavior and manages to worm his way back into the public's affections.... NO! Back! Back you plot bunny!
+ Edited to add: I was a little surprised at the direction they took Azula. I wasn't sure what her ending would be, but considering that Zuko had NO connection with his immediate family his father, sister, or mother since she's been AWOL, I thought that Azula might be the one he reconciled with. Why couldn't Aang take her bending too? Guess he'd have to anyway in the state she is now... danger to herself more than anyone. Poor girl. I feel a little sorry for her.
+ Edit part 2!: Pakku and Gran Gran! <3
+ I adored all the little pokes at fandom the writers put in (for the last few eps as well as the finale), especially for the Zutara shippers--felt like they were laughing at them (in a nice way) the whole time.
+ Favorite scene? Zuko reuniting with Uncle Iroh. *WIBBLE*
+ MUST BUY ON DVD
