I'm stating the obvious here, but there's something horrifically wrong with humanity. When a milkman can coldly plan to rape and kill little innocent Amish girls who never did anything to him, when two high school students can brutally murder their own classmates, and now when a college student goes on a shooting spree because of what seems to be a domestic dispute. The pain and anger these people must have been feeling is staggering. I can't even begin to imagine feeling like that.
But shouldn't these incidents be screaming to us? There is something wrong here, something that can't be fixed by psychotherapy, or good parenting, or more laws.
I think it was poet T.S. Eliot that said "April is the cruellest month."
