So today there was a party for a person on my floor in my office that's leaving for legislative stuff (I work in the State Government) and there's cookies, snacks etc. I grab a cookie and just get a big bite in my mouth when I feel a tap on my shoulder. Oh my. Well, I thought about snorting with laughter, but then I wasn't sure if you were quite ready for that, so I decided to be sympathetic first. (You see, I WAS feeling sympathetic, it was just that my first reaction had been to laugh.) I do hope that you have come out of the rock. And it doesn't matter a snippet what that man thinks. Governor or not, if he thinks ill of you just because of one little meeting, the problem and the wrong is heavily on his side.

I don't know if it was the way you wrote it, or just the situation, but I'm afraid I found it highly comical. I shouldn't have if it had been me for I do hate humiliation. I should just get over it. It brings a laught later. :)
