Weeping, wailing and gnashing of teeth
My dvr decided to go crazy yesterday. Which led to me going crazy today. Stupid satellite dish company. I called about the problem and it turns out I need a new receiver/dvr... for the third time. It won't arrive until the end of the week. *thinks vindictive thoughts*
I watched as much of "Rapture" today as I could. It was the first thing I did when I got home from work--obsessed much, me? It was constantly blipping out for several seconds/minutes at a time. I missed most of Helo's conversation with Laura, most of Dee and Kara talking, most of the reunion hugginess at the end, um... lots of stuff. And I doubt the old dvr will agree to work any better tonight when there's a repeat that I can try to record again. (I already went to look at other LJ's to confirm the following: Leoben's scene on the algae planet was indeed cut. Stupid Ron Moore.)
So I guess I'll wait until the end of the week when the new receiver is here, and try ordering this episode "on demand." Despite having had a dish for over two years I've never actually ordered any extra shows or movies from the dish company.
I'm thinking the receiver was actually having problems before yesterday, but since I haven't been watching much tv the last five weeks I never noticed.
