Sunday thoughts

I was going to title this "Deep Thoughts," then decided if anyone else ever read it, he might actually expect something deep... or else something written by Jack Handy for SNL.

"We are worth the blood of a God." A woman said this during a prayer today at church, and it was particularly meaningful to me. I was having a lousy morning, which is *not* my usual experience at church. Feeling physically out of sorts so often leads to feeling spiritually out of sorts. (Stupid body-mind connection, blah.) I was feeling grumpy instead of uplifted, and that one line helped change my outlook. One of the many things I love about church services is that connection from person to person. I have daily opportunities for individual connection with God--scriptures, prayer (need to do better at both); but it's very good to have that fellowship that a church service provides. So today is one of those days that I feel like saying, "Yay, people!" The world isn't such a bad place.
