Wanna give me fic prompts to make the long, boring meetings a bit more palatable? Please?

And now for a poll:

Totally should check out Stardust. Have seen it twice and still love it, gonna have to wait for it to come out here in Australia though (Sept 20 seems so far away).

The movie has a lovely tone to it with it's comedy and romance. Definitely fell in love with Charlie Cox. :) IMHO it seems more genuine than the majority of the films I've seen this year.

Ooh, I'm glad to read a positive opinion. Right now it's top of my list for this weekend. (Did see "Last Legion" today, and it was cheesy fun.)

Aww, I wish I could choose more than one. The Last Legion sounds yummy.

Fic prompts: hey, why not take over your Kara on NC, pre-attack idea? Painting? Happy with Sam, but bonus points for acknowledging that losing Lee hurts her a bit.

"Last Legion" is cheesy greatness! Revisionist Roman history tied to Arthurian legends! Pretty people fighting with swords! Movie cliches galore! COLIN FIRTH!

As for ficlets, I did, in fact, start working on a Kara on New Caprica ficlet in Monday's meeting, so maybe I'll finish later this week. (Did some other ficlets today.)

Wow, you too have been bitten by the prompt bug! I'm still thinking about yours. They are hard. And then I started prompting myself too. That's always interesting. How about:

Jean, Sam, betrayal

Cavil, Simon, Leoben, infinite

Oh and one shippy one: Gaeta/Racetrack, need

And I'm trying dionusia thing about prompts out of books. And because your prompts were hard. (Yes I know you gave alternatives but I can't resist a challenge.)

From random page of Wuthering Heights:

"That fool's body should be buried at the crossroads . . ."

From the Handmaid's Tale: (yes, these are the fiction books nearest me)

"We could fight and wrangle and name-call but it didn't change anything underneath."

Any people, any situation because these are harder. Go wild. I have had a hankering for New Caprica fic lately . . .

I think I have Gaeta/Racetrack done (have to type it still), and an idea for Jean and Sam. (Plus I stole one that I gave to you--Kara, Six and marble. I don't know if it's a ficlet anymore, it looks rather long... haven't typed it yet either.)

Anyway, I'm also working on Kara/Sam on New Caprica, plus Gaeta/Racetrack is on NC as well, so there ya go. *g* Thanks for the prompts!

Looky! Gaeta/Racetrack, need! BTW, I always theorized that Gaeta was rather miffed at Dee marrying Lee--either because he didn't think Lee was good enough for his friend or because he was jealous. Oh, keep in mind that Dee went back to Galactica to pack rather than staying at the dance...He was a better dancer than she expected--his movements loose and almost carefree. He was swinging Dee around and laughing at something she'd said. Meg had never paid much attention to Gaeta before--they'd crossed paths plenty of times but never talked much other than at triad games. Now she could see why Dee had sought him out on the mudball during their planetside visit. If Dee weren't already with Commander Adama Meg would wonder if ( ... )

Ooh, racy Racetrack! I can just see Meg (not Marge) with her lovely hair. She and Gaeta would be so pretty together.

I wish we'd get an interesting episode with just the secondary characters. While Lee and Kara angsted away on Main Street, Meg had whiled the night away with Gaeta . . .

This is now in my personal canon, yes. It all happened just as you wrote it. Maybe she'll take Gaeta along next time she finds a basestar or a planet or something. ;-)

Thanks for writing this. Everyone was so happy on that day.

Gah... I can't choose just one! Of them all, I've only seen Hairspray, which while it was okay, wasn't as good as the original for me, even though I did like the music. And John Travolta is no Divine.

And I want to see the Simpsons movie but I think I'm gonna wait for it to come out on video. I feel no pressing urge to see it right away.

I vote either Stardust (despite the fact that I find Claire Danes kind of irritating lately) or The Last Legion (which I haven't heard about at ALL).

"Last Legion" is cheesy awesomeness! (I got stuck in bad traffic this evening so instead of fighting it for an hour to get home, I went to the movies.) I'm not sure that it fits the "so bad it's good" theme but it's full of movie cliches and gorgeous people sword-fighting. May see "Stardust" this weekend.

Helo and Sam, after Kara's "death"

Kara, Racetrack, Sharon, and Jean discuss the boys and their, ahem, assets.

Oh! And I didn't vote in your poll, because I haven't seen any of them *cries* but I wanted to thank you for the poll because I knew there was a new flick out with Michelle Pfeiffer, but I couldn't remember the name and I want to see it.

Gosh I love poorly constructed sentences. O_o

Hm, I like those prompts. I didn't work on them today, but maybe tomorrow, depending on how boring the meetings are. (This morning was, surprisingly, productive, but this afternoon made up for it by being both pointless and overly long. Thank goodness for notepads.)

If you see "Stardust" before the weekend, let me know how it is. I'm probably going to see it Friday night.
