  1. I was doing my usual thing of making crock-pot yogurt, only it didn't work. That happens now and then, although it's been a long time since I last did (or didn't do) whatever one does (or doesn't do) to make yogurt not happen. Instead of dumping it out right away after realizing my failure, I left it overnight and this morning there was something that tasted like sour cream in there. Low-fat sour cream, I suppose, since it was made with low-fat milk. THAT HAS NEVER HAPPENED BEFORE. Weird. I don't know whether to dump it or make a lot of burritos and eat it.
  2. I ate one of those Boca burgers for the first time the other day. It was the spicy black bean burger: surprisingly tasty! I wouldn't consider it a good substitute for meat (because I like meat), but as its own thing it was very good.
  3. Popcorn fic progress: the prologue is basically done at just over 600 words. Chapter one: at last, I've finally gotten Carter and Reese out of New York City. Currently around 2700 words of fic so far, and a ridiculous amount of that is expositional dialogue. Argh.
  4. 2700 words sounds like a nice, big number. For me. Yay, me!
  5. Though really, I hope I can pick up the pace a bit. It's already June 27, and WHY AM I STILL NOT DONE, UGH, THIS IS GOING ON FOREVER and there are supposed to be seven chapters of this?!
  6. number four sounded way better than number five
